The use of encapsulated oil in dietary on growth factors, proximate compositions and frozen storage of rainbow trout (Onchorhynchus mykiss)
Authors
Abstract:
This study was performed in order to survey of effect of encapsulated oil in rain bow trout dietary on some growth factors and proximate compositions. Fish in average weight, 20 ± 1.5 g, was fed daily at 2.5 percent of biomass for 2 months. Rainbow trout was weighed every 2 weeks. At the end of experiment growth factors and proximate composition were studied. The result showed that the diets which had encapsulated oil had better performance. In these diets growth factors was significantly higher than the other. The effect of encapsulated oil did not have significant difference on proximate composition. The result showed that encapsulated oil can improve growth factors of rainbow trout.

The effect of dietary propolis and pollen extracts on growth performance and haematological responses of rainbow trout (Onchorhynchus mykiss)
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of propolis and pollen extract on biochemical and haematological parameters of Onchorhynchus mykiss. One hundred and eighty healthy fish, O. mykiss (mean weight 20.57±4.48 g) were used for growth performance and haematological assays. They were randomly selected, and distributed among fifteen 600-L fiberglass tanks as three treatments (1% Polle...
full textEffect of dietary sesame oil on growth and carcass composition of rainbow trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss) juvenile
This study investigated the effects of replacement of fish oil with dietary sesame oil (SO) on growth performance and fillet composition of rainbow trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss) juvenile with initial mean body weight 52.54 ± 2.03 . Triplicate groups of 30 fish each held under identical culture conditions were fed twice daily by iso-nitrogenous, iso-calorific and iso-lipidic diets for 8 weeks. E...

The effect of gamma radiation (1, 3 and 5 kGy) on microbial quality of farmed rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fillets which were stored under frozen conditions (-20° C) was studied by measuring microbiological changes in 5 months. Gamma irradiation and increasing of frozen storage time had significant effects (P<0.05) on the reduction of microorganism's population. The total count showed ...
full textEffect of dietary aloe vera on growth and lipid peroxidation indices in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
Aloe vera has been used worldwide in pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries due to the plethora of biological activities of its constituents. This study was done to evaluate the effects of dietary aloe vera on growth and lipid peroxidation in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). A total number of 480 O. mykiss (mean weight 9.50 ± 0.85 g) were randomized into four experim...
full textAccumulation of 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin by rainbow trout (Onchorhynchus mykiss) at environmentally relevant dietary concentrations.
Rainbow trout were fed a diet containing 1.8, 18, or 90 pg/g 3H-2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) for up to 320 d. Concentrations of TCDD were determined in muscle, liver, and ovaries at 100, 150, 200, and 250 d. Concentrations of TCDD reached an apparent steady-state concentration in liver after 100 d of exposure, whereas concentrations in other tissues continued to increase until 150...
